In 1995 Carlos received his 1st degree Black Belt in Karate. After 18 years of working diligently in martial arts, Carlos earned his 5th degree black belt rank

With regards to his personal life, in 2002, Sensei Carlos earned a bachelor’s degree from Illinois Institute of Technology and achieved his MBA from Illinois Benedictine University, Lisle Illinois in 2005. He currently is employed by Molex Incorporated in Lisle, Illinois as a Product Design Engineer.

Sensei Carlos married his lovely wife, Maggie in 2002 and they had their first child a daughter, Natalie in 2007. Carlos’ hobbies are spending quality time with his wife and daughter and taking karate and boxing at Rocky’s Dojo and Gym.

When asked to comment on his love of martial arts Sensei Carlos responds, “Karate is one of the most mental and physical extra-curricular sports I have participated in. It has helped me deal with the stresses of life, increased my patience level, given me confidence and a higher self esteem and most certainly made me physically stronger. I am honored to have earned this degree at one of the best dojo’s in the area, Seneis Ron and Rocky Troutman of Rocky’s Dojo and Gym are tough but extremely fair. I am pleased to say the sport of karate has made me an all around better person and it has become a staple in my daily life!”
